Survive & Tell

Active

Survive & Tell is an organization committed to helping survivors move from coping to healing by breaking the cycle of abuse and rebuilding lives with dignity, strength, and support. Their work blends public education, community awareness, and a network of social resources that empower individuals to feel seen, informed, and connected. My role was to translate that mission into a clear, accessible design system that could hold both survivors seeking help and youth engaging in literacy‑focused prevention, creating a brand experience grounded in safety, clarity, and hope.

Closing Statement

Working on Survive & Tell was deeply meaningful because the work extended beyond aesthetics and into real impact, requiring a system that could support survivors and students with clarity, neutrality, and care. Designing for both audiences demanded intentionality, creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and safe, while ensuring youth could engage with accessible, literacy‑focused content. Seeing the organization continue to evolve and actively use the website reinforces the purpose of the work and reflects a commitment to designing with empathy and respect.

Working with Asha is one of my most pleasurable experiences navigating the nonprofit world. She is thorough and applies creativity to others’ passions in a way that enhances our work. Asha embodies the care she has for people and the missions she supports. She is a gem and has no doubt transformed our team’s ability to connect with communities in an impactful manner. We are eternally grateful!
